Parade Dignitaries
Grand Marshal 2026
Dave Leo
The Salt Lake City St. Patrick’s Day Parade is proud to announce our 2026 Grand Marshal… Dave Leo, President of the Ulster Project Utah!
Dave’s commitment to the Ulster Project goes far beyond his title. In addition to serving as President, he has dedicated more than a decade as a board member, helping guide the organization’s mission of peace and reconciliation. He has also opened his own home as a host parent, personally investing in the lives of the teens who participate in this life-changing exchange. Through his leadership and hands-on service, Dave embodies the very best of the Irish spirit — community, generosity, and a belief in building bridges across generations and across the Atlantic.
We are honored to have him lead this year’s celebration of Irish heritage, unity, and friendship here in Salt Lake City.

Hibernian of the Year 2026
Jason and Shayneh Starks
Stark's Funeral Home
Jason and Shayneh Starks have been a longtime and steadfast participant in our parade and Irish events through the years.
Their continued involvement reflects a deep commitment to community, tradition, and service. They truly embody the Irish spirit — generosity, dignity, hospitality, and fellowship — and play a vital role in supporting families throughout Utah.
In particular, Stark’s does a stellar job honoring one of our most cherished traditions by providing beautiful and meaningful Irish wakes. They understand the importance of gathering, storytelling, music, remembrance, and community — creating space for families to grieve, celebrate, and honor their loved ones in a way that reflects our rich Irish heritage.
Please join us in congratulating Stark’s Funeral Home on this well-deserved recognition.
